2018: Sara and Noah meet in the summer at a mutual friend's party and form an instant connection. They see each other at concerts and around town with friends for weeks. Noah asks Sara on a date a few times, but timing never quite aligns. The universe finally catches up, and they go on their first official date to Historians, where Sara promptly invites him to a festival the following week. Noah declines, but as soon as Sara returns, they spend the rest of the summer together almost every day—visiting plant stores, grabbing brunch with friends, and going to live shows.
2019: Sara and Noah move into an apartment with their friend Tony and get their first pet together, Mochi. Day by day, they fall deeper in love while building a life together. Eventually, the two move into their own place with Mochi and Lynx.
2020: The pandemic hits, and Noah and Sara begin working from home together every day. Though a scary and stressful time, living through nearly a year in isolation only proves their unbreakable bond.
2021: Things get even more serious as Noah and Sara decide to buy their first home in Denver. Months of searching and disappointment finally pay off when they close on a charming house in south Denver and begin making it their own.
2022: Shortly after finishing renovations, they adopt Miso, their beloved baby dog, in the spring.
2023: Sara and Noah decide to sell their Denver home and move to South Carolina to be close to family. Over the next couple of years, they settle near the beach, eventually getting engaged on Seabrook Island in the summer of 2025.
Sara asked for a surprise proposal in private while wearing a cute outfit with freshly done nails. So planning the proposal, making sure she had a cute outfit on and fresh nails, without her knowing, was difficult. But, challenge accepted!
After enlisting the help of our dear friends Rianne and Ethan, I rented a beach house on a private island near Charleston. I had Ethan and Rianne tell Sara a month ahead of time their family was visiting and renting a beach house. Surprisingly, a week before their "family visit" the family said they could not make it but wanted us to take advantage of the beach house. So our friends invited Sara and I to join them in place of their family.
After checking in to the beach house we all decided to go for a walk. When we got to the beach it was cloudy and there were people walking but all of a sudden everyone seemed to just disappear and the clouds parted almost as if by divine intervention. This was my chance. I dropped to one knee and started to propose but Sara stopped me confused and embarrassed that I was hijacking our friends trip to propose.
Little did she know that I had planned the whole thing. I told Sara how much I love her, that life without her isn't one I want to live, and that I would rather spend a life with her than face all the ages of this world alone. We both laughed, cried, hugged, and kissed as our friends captured the moment from a distance. In the end it was almost too surprising but it all worked out perfectly!
